Our Mission

At Music Intersections, we’re passionate about two things: advancing education and performance in Argentine Tango, and exploring its deep ties to classical and other musical genres. Our mission is to connect musicians with renowned tango maestros, encouraging them to embrace tango music.

We offer a supportive community and a nurturing environment filled with resources and diverse performance opportunities to help artists grow. Music Intersections is the culmination of over a decade of dedication from the founders of the Stowe Tango Music Festival. Join us as we celebrate the music of Tango!

Meet The Team

 Héctor Del Curto 

Executive Director - Chairman

Grammy-winning musician, composer, recording artist and educator Hector Del Curto is one of the world’s most sought–after bandoneonists. From 1988 until 1993 he was a member of the legendary orchestra of Osvaldo Pugliese. He also appeared with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the National Symphony Orchestra, and has recordings with artists , Astor Piazzolla, Paquito D'Rivera, Tito Puente, and Plácido Domingo. 


Mr. Del Curto was music director of Forever Tango and founded the Eternal Tango Orchestra. His albums, Eternal Piazzolla and Eternal Tango were profiled by BBC News and Public Radio International. Mr. Del Curto co-founded the Stowe Tango Music Festival in 2014 serving as its artistic director for nine years. He has now founded Music Intersections to produce tango festivals and provide an online virtual gathering place where tango musicians could advance their musical artistry to reach audiences worldwide.

 Adele Lun 

Board Member

Ms. Lun is a tango music concert promoter in the U.S. and Taiwan. She co-produced tango concerts featuring Japan’s Ryota Komatsu Quintet and local Taiwan tango dancers; showcased the talent of Cuarteto Tanguero in Taiwan’s most prestigious musical festivals; and served as tour manager for shows in Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. Ms. Lun also helped bring the Hector Del Curto Quintet and Miriam Larici & Leonardo Barrionuevo to perform at Taiwan’s National Concert Hall.


Ms. Lun is a former investment banker holding positions at Deutsche Bank, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, Lehman Brothers, Bear Stearns, and Merrill Lynch International.  She holds a B.A., in Foreign Language & Literature from National Taiwan University. Her hobbies include piano,classical guitar, bandoneon, music composition, choral singing, tango dancing, and writing.

     Cybele Tsao 

    Treasurer 

    Ms. Tsao is a financial executive with over 25 years of international experience in service, retail, direct marketing, e-commerce and hi-tech industries. Her responsibilities have included executing financial, business plans, policies and procedures, IT, human resources, benefits, training, operation and cash management.  She’s accustomed to rapidly growing business environments. She was a partner at  TTC Associates, LLP, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania,  and she has held CEO, CFO, and COO positions in numerous companies worldwide.  

     

    Ms. Tsao holds an M.S. in Accounting, Univ. of New Orleans, Louisiana and a B.S. in Accounting from Fu-ren University in Taiwan. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

      A cellist and a Latin Grammy nominee, Ms. Ok has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, and Richmond Symphony and at prestigious venues and festivals such as the Aspen Music Festival, La Jolla Music Society's SummerFest, the Chautauqua Institute, Carnegie Hall, Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, Festival de Musica dos Capuchos in Portugal, and the National Concert Hall in Taiwan, among many others.

       

      Her performances have been featured on Public Radio International’s The World, BBC News, Performance Today, the PBS Performing Arts Series, and Next at The Kennedy Center. Born in Seoul, South Korea, raised in New Zealand, Jisoo earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from The Juilliard School. She served as an executive director of Stowe Tango Music Festival from 2014 until 2023.

       Rowena Itchon 

      Secretary

      Ms. Itchon is Chief Operating Officer at the Pacific Research Institute, a public policy think tank where she oversees research, marketing, and operations at PRI. Prior to joining PRI, she was a senior editor at Regnery Publishing, where she edited five New York Times bestsellers.

       

      Ms. Itchon has held spokesperson positions at RS Investments and T. Rowe Price where she was widely quoted in the national media including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and has appeared on numerous radio and TV shows. She was a speechwriter to former California Governor Pete Wilson and a researcher at the White House Speechwriting Office under President Ronald Reagan. Ms. Itchon holds an MBA from George Washington University and a BA from the University of Southern California. Her hobbies include playing the piano and is a student of tango maestro Pablo Estigarribia.

        These esteemed Maestros represent the incredible talent and artistry that have accompanied us for the past 10 years at the Stowe Tango Music Festival. Each has brought their unique expertise and passion for Argentine Tango through unforgettable performances, masterclasses, and workshops. They, along with many more, will join us at Music Intersections to celebrate and preserve the legacy of tango while inspiring the next generation of musicians.
